Built to Feel Good, Not Just Look Good

So how does a keycap set get its texture and durability? It starts with the material. Many sets use ABS plastic, which is prone to developing a greasy shine over time as the surface wears down. This set uses PBT (polybutylene terephthalate).

The dye-sublimation process used for the legends has a high barrier to entry for manufacturers because they have to commit to the tooling and colour-matching upfront. This is largely the reason why cheaper sets use simple pad-printing, where the letter is essentially painted on top. Those legends can chip and fade. With dye-sublimation, the ink becomes part of the plastic itself.

In short, if a legend can fade or a key can turn shiny, this set was designed to prevent it.

What exactly is PBT plastic?

Look for the material. A cool colourway is nice, but the material is what you feel every day. PBT is a dense, stable plastic that resists wear far better than standard ABS. The main benefit is that it doesn't develop that smooth, greasy shine over time. It keeps its distinct matte texture.

Why is Cherry profile so popular?

It's a sculpted profile, meaning each row has a slightly different height and angle. This design follows the natural curve of your fingertips, making it more comfortable for extended typing compared to flat, uniform profiles. It also produces a deeper, more satisfying sound signature for many switches.

Will this set fit my keyboard?
