Neo60 Core Custom Mechanical Keyboard Kit

A Study in Simplicity

To truly understand the appeal of a minimalist keyboard, you have to hold it. The first thing you’ll notice about the Neo60 Core is its sturdiness. The case is milled from a single block of 6063 aluminum, creating a satisfying weight that stays put on your desk. Its ultra-slim side bezels and clean, inward-sloping edges draw focus to your keycaps, creating a seamless look that feels both modern and classic.

A Study in Simplicity

A Build Experience, Redefined

The innovation of the Neo60 Core is most apparent when you build it. The entire construction uses magnetic connectors and contacts for the daughterboard, eliminating the need for tiny, easy-to-lose screws. It’s a clean, precise, and satisfying assembly process.

When it's time for a change, a specially designed tool makes disassembly just as simple. One end of the tool is a disassembly aid; remove the keycaps above the dedicated slot, insert the tool, and the entire internal assembly pulls out from the case. The other end is a 3.5mm plate fork, designed to support the plate during switch installation—a thoughtful touch for builds without plate foam.

The Heart of the Feel: Dual-Mounting System

The Neo60 Core offers two distinct mounting systems to customize your typing experience.

The Neo60 Core offers two distinct mounting systems to customize your typing experience.

To help builders achieve their perfect typing feel, the Neo60 Core offers a dual-mounting system. You can choose between two distinct acoustic and tactile experiences, each with its own unique properties to influence the final result.

- **PCB Gasket Mount:** A robust gasket structure with carefully placed gaskets to deliver a classic, cushioned typing feel with excellent acoustic performance.

- **Gummy O-Ring Mount:** This system uses a single 30-duro O-ring to secure the PCB and plate. It provides a firm, consistent feedback across the entire board and creates an exceptional sound seal, especially for edge keys.

Find Your Finish

The Neo60 Core is available in a wide range of case colours and weight materials, allowing you to create a board that is uniquely yours. Choose from anodized or spray-coated aluminum cases and pair them with stainless steel, PVD-coated steel, or copper weights. Each combination creates a different character for your final build.

*Note on Copper Weights:* The oxidation of copper is an unavoidable characteristic of the material. To preserve the finish, do not clean with alcohol or rub harshly, as this may damage the anti-oxidation coating.

*Note on Mirror Dusk PVD Weights:* This finish features random gradient mixtures, making each weight unique. Specific colour selection is not available.

Questions & Answers

What comes in the Neo60 Core kit?

The kit includes the Neo60 unibody aluminum case, your choice of weight, PCB, and plate. It also comes with a full foam kit (PE sheet, PCB foam, case foam), gaskets and an O-ring, rubber feet, a daughterboard with magnetic connectors, and the custom plate fork/disassembly tool. Free accessories like a carrying case, pullers, and stabilizers are often included but are not guaranteed.

What else do I need to complete my build?

This is a barebone kit. You will need to purchase your own switches (MX-style), keycaps, and a USB-C cable to complete the keyboard.

Does this keyboard have RGB lighting?

No, none of the PCB options for the Neo60 Core support per-key RGB backlighting. This is a design choice consistent with the keyboard's minimalist philosophy.

Is the plateless build option available for all PCBs?

A plateless build is only supported with the Solder PCB variant. The gasket mounting points are located directly on the PCB for this configuration.
