Smurve80: the curved TKL

A tenkeyless board with a curved, injection-moulded case, the first mass-produced keyboard to have one. The name is smile plus curve: the deck bows gently so the key rows follow the natural arc of your hands, an idea from the classic buckling-spring boards of the 1980s, rebuilt with a gasket mount, hot-swap PCB and tri-mode wireless.

Why the curve matters

A flat keyboard asks your wrists to bend to meet it. The Smurve80 rises towards the centre and drops at the edges, so your hands rest in a more open position and stay comfortable through a long day. A 17 mm front height means no wrist rest needed.

A typewriter in the case

A typewriter in the case

A built-in solenoid fires a mechanical click with every key press. On, it sounds like a typewriter in full flow; off, it is a normal keyboard again.

Gasket mount, hot-swap

The aluminium plate floats on gaskets inside the ABS shell, softening each keystroke and keeping case resonance out of the sound. Switches swap without soldering, and the stabilisers are PCB-mounted.

Tri-mode, 8000 mAh

USB-C, 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth, on Windows or macOS. The 8000 mAh battery runs roughly 23 to 40 hours with the RGB on and 266 to 320 hours with it off.
