Most keycaps are a flat colour. The FBB Silver Dragon is not. Each cap is PBT finished with a metallic spray coat, so the surface catches light the way brushed silver does, shifting from cool white to gunmetal as you move around the desk. The dye-sublimated legends and dragon artwork are then set into that metallic layer, a two-stage process FBB calls a composite finish, which keeps the shine from swallowing the print.
The result is a set that reads as armour rather than a keycap set: silver scales across the alphas, darker modifiers framing them, and a dragon motif where the eye lands. On a black or silver aluminium board, especially a magnetic switch gaming board with RGB bouncing off the case, it looks like it was machined rather than moulded.
