Cornix LP

A low-profile split keyboard with tool-free adjustable tenting and a CNC aluminium body - the Corne layout, refined.

Built around the columnar Corne layout, the Cornix LP separates into two independent halves you can place at shoulder width and tent to a neutral wrist angle. Kailh low-profile switches keep finger travel short; machined 6063 aluminium keeps the whole thing solid. Ships pre-built and ready to type.

Why split

Designed around your hands, not the desk

Traditional keyboards force your wrists inward and flat. Two independent halves with adjustable tenting let you set a neutral, shoulder-width posture for long typing sessions.

↦

Natural hand position

Place each half at shoulder width to keep wrists straight and open the chest, instead of hunching toward a single slab.

∡

Tool-free tenting

Tilt each half to one of four angles to bring your wrists into a more neutral plane. No screwdriver, no disassembly.

⌄

Low-profile travel

Kailh Choc-height switches sit close to the desk, cutting finger travel and the fatigue that builds over a full day.

⊞

Columnar stagger

The 3×6 column layout follows natural finger lengths, so each finger moves straight up and down rather than reaching diagonally.

⇲

Thumb cluster

A dedicated thumb cluster takes modifiers and layers off your pinkies — the keys that take the most strain on a normal board.

◇

40% muscle memory

The refined layout keeps the Corne's familiar 40% feel, so the move from a compact board is short rather than a full relearn.

Adjustable tenting

Four angles, set by hand in seconds

Start gentle while you adjust to a split layout, then dial in more tilt as it becomes comfortable. The mechanism locks firmly at each step for a stable typing platform.

6°
Easing in
A subtle slope for your first weeks on a split board.
12°
Everyday
A comfortable default most typists settle on.
18°
Aligned
Stronger wrist alignment for daily ergonomic use.
24°
Maximum
The most aggressive tilt for a near-vertical posture.
Finish

Machined 6063 aluminium, anodised

Each case is CNC-machined, sandblasted and anodised for a fine matte texture that resists fingerprints and wear.

In short

The Corne, properly built

Most split keyboards ask you to print your own case and solder your own switches. The Cornix LP arrives machined from aluminium, hot-swap ready, and tuned to type — with tenting you can adjust by hand and a layout that keeps the familiar 40% feel.

Whether you're optimising a development workflow, writing all day, or just looking after your wrists, the Cornix LP brings enthusiast build quality to an ergonomic format that usually only comes as a DIY kit.

Customer photo review of Cornix 2.0 - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard (4th Batch - April)

As this is as a group hit I waited a while, but the whole process was transparent and I knew what I was in for when I purchased. After receiving it felt like Christmas morning and I am extremely chuffed with this product! My new obsession! Very high quality, premium feel, for something so niche is unbelievable. The price for something like this was a top deal and I love what they are doing with these group buys! Thanks again very happy!

Customer photo review of Cornix 2.0 - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard (2nd Batch Orders)

Overall, a very good experience with OZO Keyboards. Delivery was delayed, but they handled it well and communicated clearly. The keyboard itself is excellent -- solid build, great sound, and feels high quality. There’s a learning curve and you’ll likely need to tweak layers, but after about a week it becomes very usable. If you’re willing to adapt, it's absolutely great.

Cornix 2.0 - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard (2nd Batch Orders)

Great build quality, connects flawlessly, but the default jet map is missing square and curly braces, and the staggered inner column makes it very difficult to reach the N key.

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

The build feels and looks very high quality and I love the switches, they feel great. On the other hand, after two weeks, the keyboard started to act up with sometimes spamming keys or having noticeable delay between left and right split, which impacts the writing flow quite significantly.

Amazing keyboard, superb quality. The labeled keys are great, although make customizing the layout more challenging. Also, there is no Mac command key. But quality is top notch and it's very pleasurable to type on.

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

Really impressed with the Cornix. Moving to a split layout took some adjustment, but I went from around 19 WPM initially to 55 within a week, then over 60 with bursts into the 80s. The split design feels much more comfortable, and Vial makes customising the layout easy. Swapping the stock switches for Kailh Deep Sea Mini Islet silent linears made it even better, silky, substantial and astonishingly quiet. With headphones on, I can barely hear myself typing. Bluetooth was temperamental on my setup, but wired has worked perfectly. A learning curve well worth sticking with.

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

I have been using it for a week, I needed some adjusting for my fingers since the keys disposition is a bit different, now little by little i am creating shortcuts to make it easier using symbols etc but in general I love it, my hands and arms have a natural position the mouse now stays in the middle. So far the tool to config is quite easy the only thing that will take time is just to adjust your layout to your needs (obviously) but once you start setting the keys and macros it’s much simpler. Not a keyboard for everyone though, this one needs patience, willingness to change your keys distribution and mind that your key setup from now on will be unique (unlike the rest of common keyboards)

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

Besides my Zephyrus G14 2024, this is the most premium feeling and looking keyboard that I have touched and used, the aluminium casing, keys and everything just feels great.

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

Overall feels very solid and extremely well made. However, one of the main reasons I chose this keyboard was scrolling controllers and unfortunately they useless due to poor design - there is absolutely no grip on them and you have to firmly grab it with two fingers to turn. I will try to glue something grippy on but that’s not ideal

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

Does what it says on the tin - no issues, connected via bluetooth and worked straight away. Can use vial to change the layers, nice and easy. The build quality is great, it's solid but not heavy, and the tenting legs are stable and don't wobble. The whole thing feels high quality, and clean.

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

I wanted to try a split ergonomic keyboard for a long time, but most of the options that I liked involved out of stock parts or tricky assembly procedures I'm not used to. The Cornix ticked all the boxes, from the aluminium case, easily usable out of the box, neat tenting option and premium finish, all of that in what I would consider an affordable pricing for a custom mechanical keyboard. I have been using it for almost a month and I got easily used to it, plus I've been able to carry it to work thanks to the hardcover case and the small size. Overall I'm really happy with the keyboard, not very fond of the typeface of the keycaps and I cannot speak about the durability of the keyboard (although its seems promising).

Cornix - Split Low-Profile Split Ergonomic Keyboard

No instructions on how to use/configure. Seller response was manufacturer didn’t provide anything which is a rubbish response as a seller. Discord seems dead in terms of manufacturer response and lots of complaint about product failures a few months in so this is currently a very expensive paperweight. Would not buy from ozzy or this product again based on this experience.
