Blazing Sky X1 V2 Series Esports Wireless Mouse
The ATK Blazing Sky X1 V2 is a symmetrical esports wireless mouse built for medium to large hands and claw or palm grips. It weighs 55 g on the 2.0 models and 48 g on the Air+, polls at 8000 Hz in both wired and wireless modes, and runs on ATK's own 54 series ApexShark MAX platform. At 127 x 64 x 40 mm, the X1 V2 keeps a full-size shell rather than shrinking the shape to save weight. The 2.0 models come in at 55 g and the Air+ at 48 g, and the saving comes from the internal structure, so the shell stays solid with no holes or cut-outs in the surface you hold.
The shape is symmetrical with a gentle hump, sized for medium to large hands and comfortable in claw or palm grip.
The X1 V2 moves to a Nordic 54 series microcontroller, the chip that reads the sensor and switches and talks to the dongle. It is built on a 22 nm process, four generations ahead of the 55 nm part in the previous ATK generation, and runs at 128 MHz, double the previous 64 MHz.
The Extreme 2.0 and Extreme 2.0+ use the Nordic 54H20; the Ultra Max 2.0, Ultimate 2.0, Ultimate 2.0+ and Air+ use the Nordic 54L15.
ATK's self-developed 54 series ApexShark MAX solution pairs that MCU with firmware tuned for it. With Gaming Firmware MAX switched on, the mouse reports more tracking points across the same movement, so cursor motion is smoother and small corrections land more precisely.
The Ultimate 2.0+, Extreme 2.0+ and Air+ carry the PAW3955 Master. The Ultra Max 2.0, Ultimate 2.0 and Extreme 2.0 use the PAW3950 Ultra.
The PAW3955 Master tracks at up to 850 IPS with 75 G of acceleration and a DPI range up to 50,000, with 1 DPI steps on the Extreme 2.0+ and Air+. PAW3950 Ultra models run to 42,000 DPI. Lift-off distance is adjustable from 0.7 mm to 1.7 mm across 11 levels in 0.1 mm increments.
Virtual Sensor Offset
Move the virtual centre point of the sensor forward or back along the mouse to change how the mouse pivots under your hand.
Dynamic DPI Curve
Set how sensitivity scales with hand speed, so slow micro-adjustments and fast flicks can each have the ratio you want.
The X1 V2 polls at 8000 Hz over both the USB-C cable and the 2.4 GHz link through the included GEM 8K dongle, so the wireless connection reports as often as wired.
Click latency is 0.163 ms on the Extreme 2.0 and Extreme 2.0+ and 0.181 ms on the other models. The Ultra Max 2.0 adds Bluetooth on top of 2.4 GHz and wired; the rest of the series is 2.4 GHz and wired only.
Each X1 V2 model comes with one of three ATK switch types. The Ultra Max 2.0 uses ATK Lightblade Mechanical switches, the Ultimate 2.0 and Ultimate 2.0+ use ATK Custom Optical switches, and the Extreme 2.0, Extreme 2.0+ and Air+ use ATK Swiftlight Optical switches.
Every 2.0 model carries an 800 mAh battery. The Ultra Max 2.0, Ultimate 2.0 and Ultimate 2.0+ are rated for 800 hours at 1000 Hz, and the Extreme 2.0 and Extreme 2.0+ for 265 hours. The Air+ uses a 300 mAh cell rated for 300 hours.
Running at 8000 Hz draws more power, so expect shorter figures at the top polling rate.
The shell has a new nano coating over a finely textured surface. ATK pairs the two for maximum anti-slip grip straight from the shell, and an ATK Edge grip tape set is in the box if you want more.
The base carries large high-PTFE skates with dual-layer anti-indentation support, for a smooth, stable glide. Spare grey dual-layer skates, four pairs of small custom skates and ten pairs of white dot skates are included.
The scroll wheel uses a TTC Gold encoder.

Yes, through the GEM 8K dongle. Battery life at 8000 Hz will be lower than the 1000 Hz ratings above, so it is worth keeping 8000 Hz for matches and dropping to 1000 or 2000 Hz for everyday use.
Not to use the mouse. ATK HUB is there when you want to change DPI steps, polling rate, lift-off distance or the sensor tuning options, and it runs in a browser as well as on desktop.
