Akko Flash Magnetic Switch

In competitive gaming, the highest praise is "instant." An instant reaction, an instant counter-strafe, an instant build. It’s this single quality that serves as the foundation for the Akko Flash Magnetic Switch: a component built to erase the delay between thought and action. By replacing traditional metal contacts with precise magnetic sensors, the Flash switch doesn't just improve on old technology. It leaves it behind entirely.

There’s a hard limit to what a standard mechanical switch can do. The mechanism has to physically travel, make contact, and then break that contact to reset. Every setup hits this wall—but not every gamer has to accept it. The Akko Flash uses Hall Effect sensors to track key travel with 0.01mm of precision, turning every keystroke from a simple "on/off" command into a fully controllable analog input. Your competitive edge starts here.

The End of Physical Limits

The real advantage of magnetic switches is how they reset. With Rapid Trigger (RT) technology, the switch deactivates the moment you begin to lift your finger—even by just 0.1mm. There is no fixed reset point. This allows for perfect, instantaneous counter-strafing in FPS games and impossibly fast inputs in rhythm games. You stop when you mean to stop. You go when you mean to go.

This level of control extends to the entire keystroke. Using compatible software, you can define the exact actuation point for every key, anywhere from a hair-trigger 0.1mm to a deliberate 3.5mm. Set a light touch for your WASD keys and a deeper press for your ultimate ability to prevent misfires. The control is yours.

Engineered for Performance

An exploded view of the switch components, engineered for smoothness and stability.

An exploded view of the switch components, engineered for smoothness and stability.

The Akko Flash is a linear switch that combines three materials, using the best qualities of each. The polycarbonate top housing creates a crystal-clear shell to protect the inner workings, while the PA66 nylon bottom housing and self-lubricating POM stem add just the right level of smoothness when pressed.

All of the components use a new molding process that—when paired with the housing’s precise tolerances—makes for an impressive wobble-free experience. Each switch also comes factory-lubed, delivering a clean, frictionless feel right out of the box with a sound profile that is pure, muffled thock. No metallic ping, no scratchiness. Just smooth, consistent travel.

A Brighter Foundation

A great switch should enhance every part of your keyboard, including its lighting. The Akko Flash features an integrated light diffuser built directly into the top housing. This small addition makes a huge difference, capturing the light from your keyboard’s LEDs and spreading it evenly across the keycap. The result is a brighter, more consistent glow that makes any RGB effect pop.

Key Features

Rapid Trigger Ready

Deactivates the instant a key is lifted for immediate resets, enabling perfect counter-strafing and lightning-fast repeated inputs.

Adjustable Actuation

Customize the pre-travel distance on a per-key basis from 0.1mm to 3.5mm for a completely personalized control scheme.

Ultra-Light Force

With an initial force of just 25gf, these switches reduce finger fatigue and allow for near-effortless keystrokes during long sessions.

Factory Lubricated

A thin layer of factory-applied lube ensures a silky-smooth, frictionless feel with no scratchiness from the very first press.

Enhanced RGB Diffusion

A built-in light diffuser creates brighter, more even illumination across your keycaps, making your board’s lighting shine.

Stable & Wobble-Free

A POM stem and tight housing tolerances deliver stable vertical travel without any distracting horizontal rattle.

Compatibility Check

**Important:** Akko Flash switches are not compatible with traditional mechanical keyboard PCBs. They require a Hall Effect (HE) compatible circuit board.

- **Compatible With:** Keyboards that use Hall Effect sensors and support **downward-facing N-pole** magnets. This includes many modern Akko and MonsGeek HE models.

- **Not Compatible With:** Standard 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical keyboard PCBs. These switches will not function.

- **Not Compatible With:** Hall Effect keyboards that require S-pole magnets, such as the first version of the Akko MOD007B HE. Always check your keyboard’s specifications before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions & Specifications

Questions & Answers

What is a magnetic switch?

Unlike traditional switches that use metal pins to make physical contact, a magnetic switch uses a Hall Effect sensor to detect the position of a magnet attached to the stem. This non-contact design is more durable and allows for advanced features like Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation points.

What is Rapid Trigger (RT)?

Rapid Trigger is a feature unique to magnetic switches. It removes the fixed reset point of a traditional switch. Instead of having to travel past a certain point to reset, the key deactivates the very instant it starts moving upward. This makes in-game movement, especially quick direction changes, feel incredibly responsive.

Will these work in my current mechanical keyboard?

Almost certainly not. These switches require a special Hall Effect PCB and are not a drop-in replacement for standard MX-style switches. Please verify that your keyboard is a Hall Effect model that specifically supports N-pole magnetic switches.

Are these switches pre-lubed?

Yes. Every Akko Flash switch comes with a light layer of factory-applied lubricant to ensure a smooth and consistent feel right out of the box.
