London Fog Switches
The OwLab London Fog is a linear mechanical keyboard switch designed by OwLab and manufactured by BSUN. It pairs a long-pole UPE stem with polycarbonate housings and a 20 mm spring, and comes lubricated from the factory for a smooth, consistent keypress from the first press.
At 55 g to actuate and 60 g at the bottom it sits in the medium band: light enough for long typing sessions, with enough return to keep fast typing clean. Sold in packs of 10.
A clean linear press with no bump or click over 3.6 mm of travel. The long-pole stem meets the bottom housing a little earlier and more firmly than a standard stem, so the bottom-out feels crisp and defined.
Long-pole stems and polycarbonate housings tend to give a brighter, more clacky bottom-out. Expect a clear, poppy sound rather than a muted thock.
UPE is a very slippery plastic, so the stem glides in the housing with very little friction. With the factory lube on top, there is nothing to do before you install them.
The London Fog is an MX-style switch. It fits hot-swap boards with MX sockets and can be soldered to a standard MX-compatible PCB.
The stem's central pole is slightly longer than usual, so it hits the bottom housing before the stem's legs do. That shortens the travel a touch and gives a firmer, sharper bottom-out.
