ISO layout pre-order: what you get

The Evoworks Evo75 is a pre-built 75% mechanical keyboard designed by OwLab, QwertyKeys and Neo. This pre-order covers the ISO and AZERTY layouts: UK ISO, DE ISO, ES ISO, PT ISO, IT ISO, Nordic ISO and FR AZERTY.

Every Evo75 in this batch is assembled to the German ISO standard. Your order includes the specific keycaps needed to replace the German keys, so you can set the board up to the layout you ordered.

All ISO pre-orders come in one configuration: Rye Linear switches and a PP plate, the Thocky profile, for a deep, rounded sound.

Dye-sub PBT keycaps, built to last

The Evo75 ships with 1.7 mm thick PBT keycaps in Cherry profile. Legends are 5-sided dye-sublimated, which keeps the colours crisp and means they will not fade under heavy use.

Per-key RGB is south-facing, so the LEDs sit towards the desk and do not interfere with sculpted keycap profiles. You can customise the lighting through VIA.

The engineering behind the feel

Evoworks built the Evo75 around a butterfly leaf spring mount in beryllium copper, paired with triple-layer shock absorption. Typing feels bouncy and soft, but the case itself stays rigid. Five layers of sound-absorbing foam, silicone gaskets, a Mod Foam layer and a Force Break Mod deal with case ping and vibration.

A physical toggle switch moves the keyboard between three connection modes, and the wireless receiver attaches through a magnetic daughterboard, so there is no internal cabling to route. It works with Windows and macOS.

Two 4000 mAh lithium batteries give a combined 8000 mAh, which is enough to leave the full RGB backlight on over wireless and still go a long time between charges.

Essential keys in a compact 75% layout

The 75% layout keeps the function row, arrow keys and a navigation column while trimming the footprint, so the Evo75 fits a smaller desk without giving up the keys you use every day.

Underneath, a 1.2 mm flex-cut PCB with hot-swap sockets takes any 5-pin MX-style switch. If you fancy trying tactiles for typing or a different linear for gaming, pull the Rye switches out and drop the new ones in without picking up a soldering iron.

The Rye Linears come factory pre-lubricated, so they are smooth and consistent from the first keystroke, and the PP (polypropylene) plate softens the bottom-out and brings out the low end of the sound. QMK/VIA support means every key, macro and lighting effect can be changed in the VIA software.

The Evo75 case is CNC-machined from 6063 aluminium as a single unibody, with a stainless steel weight integrated into the underside. It adds heft to the 1997 g chassis, so the board does not creep across the desk during long typing or gaming sessions.

Finishes come in two types. Anodised colourways are sandblasted with 220-mesh grit for a fine, even texture. Spray-coated colourways use an electrostatic powder coating for a smooth, even colour.

The case opens on a ball-catch quick release, so there are no screws to remove when you want to clean it or mod it.

Curved radiance, refined design

The side contours taper softly and the front frame is gently raised into a bezel, so the 75% keyboard has a rounded, balanced silhouette rather than a hard-edged one. Seen from the side, the profile slopes to an 8 degree typing angle with a front height of 19.3 mm, which stays comfortable over long sessions.

Does the Evo75 need any assembly?

No. The Evoworks Evo75 ships fully assembled and quality-checked, ready to plug in or pair straight out of the box.

Which layouts are available?

UK ISO, DE ISO, ES ISO, PT ISO, IT ISO, Nordic ISO and FR AZERTY. Every board is assembled to the German ISO standard and comes with the keycaps needed to convert it to the layout you ordered.

How long does the battery last?

Two 4000 mAh lithium batteries give a combined 8000 mAh for extended wireless use in both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth modes. Should give you enough fuel to run the keyboard wirelessly for a couple of weeks (depends on the usage of rgb etc.)

Can I use my own keycaps?

Yes. The Evo75 uses standard MX-style hot-swap sockets and works with most MX-style keycaps. South-facing RGB keeps it compatible with sculpted profiles.

A 75% keyboard with a 100% smile rate from me. This is a fantastically made keyboard with a great thocky sound profile. You can tell a lot of effort went into making sure this felt like a premium product at a very reasonable price point. The keyboard came well packaged and its a pleasant experience unpacking. It looks great! The colored flecks in the Nebula finish are subtler than than the pictures suggest, only really show up under the brightest conditions, but still a really nice finish. The rye switches sound amazing. Not too noisy but soft and satisfying. I had one switch that didn't work and it turns out to be a bent pin. It shipped with three replacements switches so straight forward to remedy. All in all, really happy with the purchase.
